Annika Sorenstam To Help Announce Contest Winners at PGA Show

Winners will be announced on Thursday, Jan. 27, at The Littlest Golfer Booth

Deltona, FL (January 6, 2010) —Annika Sorenstam and Kelly Sheehan will be on hand to help announce the winners of Little Linksters’ “Best Pee-Wee Golf Swing in America” contest at the PGA Show at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 27, at contest sponsor The Littlest Golfer’s Booth 5285.

The children’s contest continues to gain momentum with nearly 70 entries to date and a panel of celebrity judges that includes golf legend Annika Sorenstam, elite golf coach Hank Haney, and PGA/LPGA golf professional and former Golf Channel “Big Break” star Kelly Sheehan.

Prize packages valued at nearly $800 will be awarded in three age categories: 3–4 year olds,
5–6 year olds, and 7–8 year olds. Prizes include the industry’s best golf equipment, apparel and training aids:

• U.S. Kids Golf complete club sets, training clubs and accessories
• The Littlest Golfer apparel and “First Set” golf clubs
• CSI Golf BMR2 putter
• EyeLine Golf training aids
• Golfer’s Footprint
• MoRodz alignment rods
• Almost Golf play pack
• Golf Coach Direct online lessons
• Little Linksters instructional coloring book and prize pack

Parents are encouraged to participate in this contest by uploading a video of their little linksters to YouTube no later than January 15, 2011 then pasting the video link onto the sign up form on the Little Linksters website.

Hello everyone….So sorry that I have missed so many posts recently. We have been battling the Flu at the Linksters house. As we slowly start to recover, I thought I should crawl out from under the covers and share a few of the great video submissions we have received since our last post back on the 30th.

I’ll pick a video from each age group…

In the 3-4 year old age group we have 3 year old Antonio Panet-Raymond from Florida…this is something special…

In the 5-6 age group we have 5 year old Mia Raines from Ohio…Awesome!!

And from the 7-8 year old age group is 7 year old Brennen McCabe from Arizona….Smooth Brennen…S M O O O T H!

As 2010 comes to a close I can honestly say that I am very blessed. I have a wonderful wife, Melisa  and two awesome kids, Lexie (5) and Austin (18 months) and without the support and love that I get from them I don’t know where I would be. It’s not always easy to juggle my full time job at the Winter Park Country Club as the GM/Head Golf Pro with trying to make our dream come true of bring golf to “Pee Wee” Golfers everywhere with our company Little Linksters, LLC. If not for my family (Parents, Siblings and extended family included) we would not have come as far as we have this year in the development of Little Linksters.

We have accomplished a “Ton” this year. We incorporated our Little Linksters program back in January. We re-branded and brought to life our Characters of Floppy, Birdie & Bogey. We revamped our website, we trademarked the name Little Linksters, expanded our program locally, created a fairly good following beyond Central Florida, and published our Little Linksters “Golf Fundamentals” Coloring Book  

We launched an awesome National “Best Pee Wee Golf Swing in America” contest and started to make some headway with our national program which we hope to bring to market soon.

I was also blessed recently to be named a Top 50 Kids Teacher for 2010 by US Kids Golf.

Many people need to be thanked beyond my family. A HUGE thanks goes out to all that have helped us so much this year:

It was a major honor to get word today that I was selected as a 2010 Top 50 Kids Teacher by U.S. Kids Golf. A major thanks goes to my wife, kids, family, Little Linksters staff, our friends at the Brandinghouse and The Littlest Golfer, all of our vendors, U.S. Kids Golf, my fellow PGA Professionals that have encouraged me and inspired me but most importantly, a big Thank You to all my Little Linkster students and parents! You are all the reason why we put in the time and effort with our company. Its not always easy to run my own business with Little Linksters in addition to the duties of my full time job at Winter Park Country Club as the GM/Head Professional….but every time I get to one of our Little Linksters program locations and see all the kids, eager to learn all about golf, I forget all about the long hours and hard work! It is truly a joy to teach the “Pee Wee” Golfer (Ages 3-8) and we are determined to bring our Little Linksters program to all “Pee Wee” Golfers nationwide as quickly as possible!
